Marumiya – Jeeg Robot Prototype

This robot is a handmade and hand painted prototype. You would expect a windup prototype but surprise surprise… this one is Battery Operated and runs on a single C-Cell Battery.

The robot was never taken into production in this configuration, all that is left is this prototype, made in Japan by Mr. Miyazawa for Marumiya. The robot was build in the mid seventies but I have to find out the exact date, not easy for prototypes but he way 🙂

The condition of this prototype Jeeg Robot is excellent, highly detailed and the robot is fully functional as well. in action the robot walks forward and the arms have special made rockets that can be fired or the hands can be fired as well.  The whole mechanism and drive work was specially made and handmade for this prototype. Awesome to see this great robot in a battery operated version !

Unique example, only one was build. There are some original and detailed drawings of the robots mechanism as well.
