Yonezawa – Lunar Robot

Dont you think this robot looks great ? is it a torso or just a head or both ? does it have eyes mouth or ?? 🙂 Finally a robot that is different and that leaves more then enough to imagination. You are looking at Lunar Robot, made in Japan in the early sixties by Yonezawa.

This robot was made in 2 color variations. There is also an orange version which more even harder to find. The robot has a clockwork mechanism ( wind-up ) and has a flint in his head section which produces sparks. The body is made out of high quality plastic while the legs are still made out of tin, a perfect mix of both materials.

I can be pretty short about the condition: the robot is near mint and shows only minor playwear. No cracks, dings, rust or whatever. The robot is all complete and original, no flaws to mention. A perfect example of this great robot. The robot comes with its original box which is rarely seen by the way. A great combination, both the robot and its rare box. Hard to find in this combination. Both the robot and the box are in near mint condition. impossible to upgrade !!
