horikawa – miyazawa super space attacker prototype  / mockup

This box contained the robot in parts for many years. in 2014 Shinji Miyazawa passed away and I was able to buy most of his tools and inventory from his workshop. This box was part of that and it always was stored away because it contained a robot in parts. now i found the time to look at it closer and it turns out its a prototype robot Shinji worked on.

I put the robot back together but made it not working, i only worked with the parts from the box to keep it as it should.
there is a complete original mechanism inside that works ( tested it ) but there are some wires and small parts needed to get the robot also working again.
There was a wire and a remote in the box as shown in the pictures.

The front of the robot is handmade and hand cut out to make room for the orange guns. Parts that should the guns moving were not present so I strongly believe it was used as a first mockup but never completed.

The box is also the box that contained the actual parts and has Japanese writing on it from Shinji.
Maybe I also must have some drawing with this robot but I need again a whole afternoon to go through a full box of drawings from Shinji.
From what i remember i have seen drawings also from this prototype but not sure..! It would be a bonus if I can find it again, will do my best but no guarantees on that 🙂

there is still so much of original drawings, so cool but it all takes time to sort it out.

Anyway.. here is a socalled mockup of one of Shinji’s Robots, from his work !. Not complete, not working but for sure an important piece of Robot History !
