Modern Toys - Mars Rocket 3122

This in 1958 produced Mars rocket (3122 the number on one of the wings) by Modern Toys In Japan is one of the more rare rockets of the fifties. It comes with stop and go action, blinking lights, spacenoise and a nice lithographed astronaut that slowely moves his arm up and down and fires up the rocket. There are blinking lights in the wings of whice one is not working anymore but because this rocket has never been messed with and is unopened I desided to leave the broken bulb in the wing as it is.

The white / orange litho is not common for this timeperiod. The shape is really awesome and it makes this rocket a very desirable one. The batterycompartment is clean and there is absolutely no rust on the rocket, no dings etc. The rocket works perfectly.
The dome as also the rocket show some light playwear and you can see this toy has been gently played with.  I would rate the condition as very good to excellent for a toy of this age. There is no box for this rocket, sorry, I will try to find a reproduction box for this rocket but still was not able to find even a picture of this box.

A rare and scarce rocket that is much searched for but hard to find in any condition.
